What is IBaStudent?
IBaStudent aims to be the best index of online resources for IB students. This year I am going to start attending the IB two year diploma programme. When I found out I had been accepted into the programme I went online looking for stuff that would help me through this. I did find quite a bit of resources, however, it took me way too long. The internet lacks an easy and useful index over webpages helping IB students. I found it odd that this was the case, so I looked some more. The closest thing I found to what I wanted was IB Notes. Though a useful index, this site has quite a few dead links, and it is hard to tell how useful a link is without actually visiting it. So, I decided to make this site. My goal is to compile an index of links with reviews and a rating system to make it easy to find what one is looking for. I will myself try to write reviews for all the links, but the main goal is to have people actually using the links and reviewing them based on usefulness. As I only take six of the subjects, there is a limit to what I can base my reviews on. Over time I will also hopefully have a reasonable amount of votes on the five-star rating system.
I am also collecting original notes, perhaps including my own.
What IBaStudent is NOT
IBaStudent is not trying to take credit for the work of anyone else. Every submission received will be given credit for if used. Every site linked to is made by, and the property of whoever made it.
IBaStudent will not in any way support cheating. This site is to be used as an aid only. Do not pass on the work of anyone else as your own.
Hey! I don't want you to link to my site! Take the link away!
If your site is linked to, and you for some reason don't want it to be in my index, feel free to send me a mail about it using the contact me form. However, you will have to give an e-mail address using the domain of the site you want to have taken down, alternativly, create a temporary page somewhere on the webpage with a text along the lines of “Remove me”. I ask you to do this to prove that you are actually the owner of the site.
Also, I always would always appreciate links back to this site. If you see a referrer from me, that's great. That means a fellow IB student has found a resource, and hopefully that student is happy about it. Everyone is happy. If you link back to me, users of your site can also profit from this site. Also, other IB related sites linking to me would also help search ranks.
I prefer to call it simple. After all, take a look at the design of one of the most popular webpages in the world. I aim for this site to be easy to navigate, easy to read and overall fast and easy to use. Also, my web-design skills are at best, passable, so I would prefer not to aim too high.
